Fancy United Esports Shuts Down VALORANT Division, Opens Roster to Buyers
Share:

Fancy United Esports has shut down its VALORANT division after five years, opening the entire roster — including 2026 APAC Predator League champions — to outside organizations and investors just weeks after narrowly missing out on VCT Pacific Stage 2.

Fancy United Esports announced on August 31 that it is ending operations in VALORANT, shutting down the division roughly a month after the roster finished runner-up in the Southeast Asia Challengers Last Chance Qualifier — one round short of a VCT Pacific 2026 Stage 2 berth.

Annoucement Post

In an official statement posted to Facebook, FCY's management said the decision followed "a long period of commitment and careful consideration" about the organization's direction. Rather than releasing players outright, the org is opening a transfer window for the entire roster, inviting organizations, companies, and investors to take over the lineup as a complete unit. FCY says it will handle contract-transfer paperwork and player documentation for any incoming buyer.

The full outgoing roster:

  • 🇻🇳 Đinh "YESicaN" Đình Đạt — Player
  • 🇻🇳 Hoàng "Twilight" Minh Dũng — Player
  • 🇻🇳 Trịnh Huỳnh "Nia" Thiên Ân — Player
  • 🇻🇳 Hoàng "f1cio" Ngọc Sơn — Player
  • 🇻🇳 Trần "bucute" Công Danh — Player
  • 🇻🇳 Phan "Kawa" Anh Huy — Head Coach

Fancy United entered competitive VALORANT in 2021 and spent five years as one of Vietnam's most consistent Challengers-tier programs. The organization competed at VCT Ascension Pacific 2023, won the APAC Predator League 2026, and picked up multiple Vietnamese national titles along the way. Most recently, the roster finished as runner-up in the Southeast Asia Challengers LCQ — a result that put them one match away from a Stage 2 Pacific berth before the season ended.

Interested in the roster?

FCY says it is fielding inquiries from organizations and investors directly at fancyunitedesports@gmail.com or via Zalo/Hotline 0912 270 022.

No player or coach has issued an individual statement at the time of publication, and FCY has not disclosed a deadline for the transfer window or what happens to the roster if no buyer emerges.

The Journey

FCY entered competitive VALORANT in 2021 and spent five years as one of Vietnam's most consistent Challengers-tier programs — climbing from open-qualifier grinding to an APAC Ascension run and, most recently, a $65,000 Predator League title.
